A Year to Remember

I am sure you feel the same way I do that this year seems to have flown by faster than most.This time last year, I was helping my daughter with a newborn and as she adjusted to being a mom. It is surreal to see your baby have a baby and think it was not too long ago when I was holding her for the first time.And even though I am certainly old enough to be a grandma, it has taken me the better part of this whole year, doing my best to be a part of their lives as much as possible, to really feel like Pryce is my grandson.I know many women who are grandmas. They kept telling me that there is nothing like it in the world. And boy were they right about that!

My fondest memories this year

One of the best parts of this year has been seeing my daughter and her husband really following a vision for their own little family life. They have become so clear about their values, how they want to spend their time and who they want to spend it with, and how intentional they are about creating the future they desire.It is a beautiful thing to watch, and I feel blessed to be a part of it when I can.Sadly, I know this is not the case for a lot of families and it breaks my heart. So many women reach out to me and Laurel for help – not just for themselves, but more for the children and young adults they have in their life who are drifting and unhappy.These conversations fuel our fire to help young adults live with vision and purpose, because feeling lost is frustrating and painful, sometimes to a detrimental degree.

Our big wish

On this Mother’s Day, our wish for all the women out there who are doing their best to care for, lift up, encourage, and guide someone younger through this precarious life is this:Being a mom is truly is the hardest job on the planet. We see you, we hear you, and we are sending you love today and every day.Ask for help, follow your intuition more, and take bold moves for the ones you love – including yourself!And always Keep Looking Up. God’s got you and is always there for you.
