Thinking = Feeling = Actions = Results
One of my major goals this year was to genuinely work on becoming more aware of my thoughts. A chain of events contributed to my having more alone time than ever before. That “alone time” space forced me to take a hard listen to the voice talking to me all the time. I will meekly tell you; it has been quite a humbling journey.
I had consultations with my mentors and I began reading books by some of the great thought leaders of this world. These are authors who go into depth on the truth that what you think impacts how you feel, which leads you to actions and those actions generate the results you get in life. Some of those people include: Dr. Joe Dispenza, Michael Singer, Bob Proctor, Gabrielle Bernstein, Sheila Walsh, and Napoleon Hill.
The bad news is that there can be a great deal of trash talk going on inside our minds. Unfortunately, the older we get, the more ingrained those negative thoughts become, and in turn create the false and limiting beliefs we have about ourselves.
The good news is that you can actually change your outside circumstances, your physical health, and mental health by first going to work on changing those thoughts!
Today, my challenge to you is to begin slowing down enough so you can start your own awareness journey. I want to encourage you NOT to beat yourself up for having these thoughts and to give yourself a large amount of compassion in the process. Negative thoughts do not enter our minds intentionally. Often, we are lead to believe what we are told about ourselves, the meaning we gave to circumstances outside of our control, and possibly the limited amount of love and praise received in our upbringing.
Forgive. Ponder those thoughts without condemnation. Go to work at choosing (yes, you can) different, positive, loving thoughts every day.
