You may have a young adult in your life – somewhere between the ages of 18 and early 30’s – who needs to hear what I’m about to say.

Here is what they need to know:

I know that right now you are under a lot of pressure.

Even before COVID-19 and everything that’s happening in our world right now that we’re taking day by day, the pressure for your entire life has been enormous.

Please remember: It is NOT YOUR FAULT.

I’ve been talking to so many young adults lately about how they’re feeling about their life and their future. And what really interests me and quite frankly scares me a little bit, is that many don’t really have a very clear vision for what they want their life to look like.

Without that, they’re not able to craft a plan that is authentic for them.

Having no plan can often lead to drifting and depression.

The Fix

How do we remedy this problem?

First of all, we need to show young adults how to create their vision for their lives.

Secondly, we need to start raising up little humans to follow a more authentic purposeful plan for their own life. We need to revolutionize what we teach children so they can become well adjusted, mentally healthy, and purposeful adults

My Mission

I’m truly on a mission to start talking more about vision and purpose, especially to young adults, and those who are now parenting little humans.

The reason why you need to be so clear on a vision for your life is that when you sit down, get quiet, and start to let your God-given purpose to flow through you onto the page in front of you, you realize that YOU MATTER.

Your Purpose

I lost my son to suicide three years ago, when he was 25. A lot of times when people get to that level of despair or reach such darkness in their mind, they start thinking that they don’t matter.

They believe that they don’t have a purpose and that everybody around them would be better off if they weren’t here.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.

You do have a purpose. There is a calling in your heart and you need to go after it.

Write Your Vision

Here is where to start:

Carve out some quiet time, maybe even just an hour. Sit down and get comfortable. Now, look deep into your heart. Write down what you would like your life to look like if you had a magic wand. Imagine time and money don’t matter and your past doesn’t matter (which it doesn’t by the way).

Forget what the people around you say you should be doing. Forget what the culture says you need to be doing.

Free your mind and create the biggest dream for your life on your heart. You’ll be amazed at what you find when you get that out of your head and your heart and onto paper.

This will become your path to finding your purpose.

Once you realize WHY you belong here on this earth, and that the people around you are going to be impacted when you follow your true purpose and your true heart, you’ll see that you, in fact, do matter.

Vision is victory,
