"What’s the use of running if you are not on the right road?" German Proverb
At Christmas I received an unexpected gift, a board game that involves strategy and a bit of luck. After spending a fun evening relaxing with friends and playing this game I got to thinking about the complex, complicated strategy I had to develop in order to play to win this game, and how similar this strategy relates directly to business situations. But luck is not involved in business, and never leave your business vision and strategy to luck, because it’s not quite as simple as that.
A Strategy Plan Is Hard Work
If you want to think about detail and hard work that’s precisely what it takes to develop the vision you have for your business and turn it into a rock solid strategic plan for the year ahead. Grab that end goal and reach for the stars that only appears to be elusive. Everything is attainable with an intensive, comprehensive plan that will guide you to conquer and tackle the well-thought-out end goal.
Tell Your Story
Of course first and foremost you need to get a good grasp of your story. Dig deep to discover who you really are and determine the core of what you actually do. Sounds easy? But it’s harder than you think. Keen insightful thinking will allow the core of your identity to emerge and only then can you grasp that unique story and form it into a master strategic plan. Tell your story honestly and use it to interpret a plan you can continually focus on. Build it into something you can live with by creating an end result that is moderately attainable.
So Many Words
We toss so many words out at you…strategy…vision…action and development. They are words of action! All integral part of the game you have to play in order to move your business forwards to achieve larger professional rewards and bigger profits. Do attempt to keep the plan end goal attainable so you can commit to it consistently following the strategy plan. Keep it simple enough so the journey will be charged with a refreshing dose of dedication of purpose enabling you to recreate the vision you set out to achieve.
"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." ~ Sun Tzu
